Around & About

Dulverton is a small town that sits at the heart of West Somerset. It’s known as the Gateway to Exmoor and it really lives up to its title!

There are monthly farmers market, great independent shops where you can buy local meat, fruit and veg, books, fishing tackle, latest Exmoor fashions, home furnishing and even a light shop!

We like to view Exmoor like a hidden secret

It is a tranquil and unique place which captures the hearts of many visitors. We have wonderful open spaces, our heather topped moorland, where you can catch a glimpse of wild red deer or iconic Exmoor ponies, or explore some of the highest cliffs in England along the beautiful North Devon and Somerset coasts.

You can explore this wonderful area on foot, as it known as one of the best locations for walking. By bike, the quiet and rather lumpy roads of Exmoor have been host to Tour of Britain’s & many road cycling sportives. There are some fantastic trails as well for mountain bikers. Or even kayak along some of the great rivers of the area. Then you can relax in a great pub, and try a tipple of the great local ales, cider and gin in front of a roaring fire, or outside watching the sun going down listening to the kids and dogs playing in the River.

A little taste of Exmoor…

Seasonality and quality is key to our menu. In Exmoor, and the South West we are spoilt with some fantastic local artisan producers. Creating a menu that give you that ‘little taste of Exmoor’ with a spin of the modern British is what we are about.

A few kind words…

We visited twice during our recent stay in Exmoor and cannot recommend this pub/restaurant enough. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is exceptional. Best burger I have ever had!
